Meet the Cast of Uncontainable: The Ultimate Art Challenge!

With the 2015 Uncontainable Challenge less than one month away, two teams of students from The Art Institutes system of schools have been chosen. They’ve met their celebrity coaches and the inspiring artists who will serve as their mentors. Now, they’re preparing to prove that creativity can’t be defined or boxed in.

On October 16, 2015 these two teams will face off in a live-streamed, 12-hour event in Austin, Texas to see which team will find the most creative way to turn a plain shipping container into a work of art. Can their creativity be contained? Find out in this competition between East and West.

Team East

Led by popular filmmaker, producer, and actress Anna Akana (link:, Team East has gathered in Philadelphia to plan their winning art piece, bringing to the table skills in Visual Arts, Media Arts & Animation, Video Production, and Graphic Design.

For support, they’ll turn to impressive mentors who are known throughout the city and beyond for their talent in ceramics design, cooking, and painting and set décor.

Team West

Converging on the city of Los Angeles from the western half of the US,Team West is led by YouTube vlogger, writer, and entrepreneur Connor Franta (link: . With backgrounds in Fashion Design, Audio Production, and Media Arts & Animation, this team of students is serious about coming away with a win.

For this mission, the mentors who will help them to develop a creative vision include an LA-based chocolatier, an interior designer, and a street artist.
