On June 8, 2018, nineteen students from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, joined two Ai alumni for a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Sony Santa Monica Studio, the developer of the wildly popular God of War franchise.

The tour was led by two Bachelor of Science in Game Art & Design graduates who work at the studio: Aaron Contreras, a Senior Environment Artist and 2010 Ai California - Inland Empire grad and Ruben Morales, a Destruction Artist and 2008 grad of The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles, a campus of Argosy University.

The comprehensive tour took students all throughout the studio, including parts that are typically off limits to the public. The tour guides also conducted portfolio reviews for the students and spoke about their post-graduation journey to working at a AAA game studio. The studio gifted the students in attendance a swag bag including a coffee cup, shirt, and other Sony merchandise. The students came back motivated and with a better understanding of what it takes to work at one of the top studios in the field.
