SIGGRAPH is the world’s largest annual conference and exhibition in computer graphics and interactive techniques. This year, SIGGRAPH was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and 16,500 individuals from around the world attended.

The conference consisted of five days where attendees could check out demos, educational sessions, interactive exhibits, and more--all showcasing the community’s cutting-edge achievements in everything from virtual reality to artificial intelligence. There were also three days of commercial exhibits for industry software, hardware, and services.

With the event in nearby LA, students from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, were not only invited to attend SIGGRAPH, but also had a chance to have their portfolios reviewed. While there, students networked with many potential employers and industry professionals in attendance and experimented with much of the new technology on display.

Inland Empire staff also attended the conference, meeting with employers as well as inviting industry professionals and organizations to visit the campus to talk to students and discuss future intern partnerships.
