Recently, The Art Institute of Philadelphia hosted the 10th annual LAGOS Jewelry Design Competition. LAGOS creates bracelets, necklaces, and earrings for women and is sold online and in stores nationwide.
Students in the school’s fashion programs participated in the competition. Each student presented a design, description of their piece, and statement about their inspiration and creative process. The winners had an opportunity to visit the LAGOS headquarters in February 2018 for a tour of the manufacturing facility and to receive a complimentary piece of jewelry.
The Art Institute of Philadelphia offers two programs in Fashion Design: a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design and an Associate of Science in Fashion Design. The school also offers three programs in Fashion Marketing: a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing, an Associate of Science in Fashion Marketing, and a Fashion Retailing Diploma.
