Media Arts & Animation students from The Art Institute of California—Inland Empire, a campus of Argosy University, recently toured Garner Holt Productions (GHP), the world’s largest animatronics designer and manufacturer for clients that include theme parks, museums, dining and retail locations, and other attractions around the world.

Founded and headquartered in San Bernardino, GHP has over 60,000 square feet of design and production space across their three-building, multi-acre lot. They have created nearly 3,000 animatronic figures for The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, NASA, CocaCola, Chuck E. Cheese, and hundreds of other organizations.

Bruce Ford, Assistant Program Chair for Media Arts at Inland Empire, organized the tour for Ai students, giving them an inside look at what it is like to be part of Garner Holt Productions. Ai California–Inland Empire also presented founder, Garner L. Holt, with an award recognizing his company’s 40th year anniversary.
