The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale hosts United Way of Broward County’s “Eat, Live, Save”
November 10, 2016
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale recently hosted the first of the United Way of Broward County’s “Eat, Live, Save” series. Nearly 30 members of the United Way of Broward’s Women United group attended the event, held at the school’s Chef’s Palette Restaurant.
Event participants took part in an immersive learning experience with hands-on instruction in creating quick and easy hors d’ oeuvres. Culinary faculty and students from The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale brought attendees into the kitchen and presented a cooking demonstration on preparing tastes of the Far East and Southern Italy region.
Following the cooking demonstration, the group tasted their creations and enjoyed wine sampling while networking with each other.
