The Art Institute of Washington Culinary Club Wins Award at Chili Cook Off

The Art Institute of Washington, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta’s Culinary Club recently participated in the Woodbridge, Virginia for its community day chili cook off. The community day included exhibitors, vendors, and entertainment. During the event, the club competed against other contestants and its chili was awarded the title of “Best in Uniqueness.”
The chili’s recipe is a secret, but it does include locally grown produce and grass fed beef. The students earned $100 worth of gift cards and coupons to use in the town center.
The Culinary Club is a student organization at The Art Institute of Washington. The club hosts fundraisers and participates in community events to raise awareness of the culinary arts program. Recently, the Culinary Club launched its competition team in which they raise money to compete in food and beverage contests.
