High school seniors who are about to begin their studies at The Art Institutes system of schools have been named winners of The Art Institutes National Art Honor Society Scholarships.
To earn the scholarships, applicants submitted six different original pieces of artwork that represented their creative interests and abilities. They also created a written statement describing their artistic career goals and why they wanted to be considered for the scholarship award.
Faculty members from The Art Institutes chose the winners. Scholarship recipients are members of the National Art Honor Society. First place was awarded a $20,000 scholarship. Second place and a $10,000 scholarship was earned by Jordyn Pierce, who will attend The Illinois Institute of Art—Schaumburg. Third place was awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
