Washington Culinary Arts Student Cooks With Cutthroat Kitchen Winner at Taste of ALC

Steven Johnson, who is working toward an Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Washington, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, recently worked alongside Chef Huda Mu’min, winner of the Food Network's reality show cooking competition “Cutthroat Kitchen.” The two worked together at the “Taste of ALC 2016.” during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 46thAnnual Legislative Conference.
Johnson, who has attended the conference in the past, was thrilled to learn that he was selected out of a pool of volunteers. Chef Huda kicked off the first annual cooking pavilion last year by focusing on culinary arts, healthy eating, and community outreach.
Johnson was invited to return to the stage next year.
