ATLANTA, Dec. 2, 2018 — The Art Institute of Atlanta is pleased to announce its second event in a series of celebrity panels focused on entertainment in Atlanta. The event, BET Boomerang The Series Behind The Lens Celebrity Panel, will take place at the campus on Wednesday, December 5, at 10 a.m. The campus is located at 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328.

The panel discussion is the first-ever look at the creative individuals behind the lens of BET’s brand new comedy series, Boomerang, currently being filmed in Atlanta and will feature Ben Cory Jones, showrunner/executive producer, Tiffany Hasbourne, department head costume designer, and Joyce M. Gilliard, department head hairstylist for the show.

The series is loosely based on the 90’s film starring Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry. The series is co-created by Emmy winner and executive producer Lena Waithe and Jones, with Halle Berry also serving as executive producer.

“This panel discussion gives our students a unique look into the creation and production of a series, while it is taking place,” said Newton Myvett, institutional president for The Art Institute of Atlanta. “It provides insight for them as they prepare to enter creative industries themselves.”

The Art Institute of Atlanta is one of The Art Institutes, a system of non- profit schools throughout the United States. Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school and are subject to change. Not all online programs are available to residents of all U.S. states. Some institutions in The Art Institutes system are campuses of Argosy University. The Art Institute of Atlanta, 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta, GA 30328 © 2018. The Art Institutes.
