Chef Grad at Unique Restaurant Incubator Featured on KDKA-TV
March 4, 2016
Jacqueline Wardle, who in 2012 earned an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, was recently featured on KDKA TV’s “Pittsburgh Today Live”. Wardle discussed the “Smallman Galley,” a unique restaurant incubator based in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.
Wardle is one of four chefs who had the opportunity to develop a restaurant concept, create a menu, and hire staff with the support of a team of advisors in the “Smallman Galley” program. Near the program’s conclusion, chefs receive help with finding sites and securing financing for their own Pittsburgh restaurants.
Wardle’s concept centers around gourmet toast.
Wardle is the former executive chef at Pittsburgh’s Isabela on Grandview. She’s competed on the Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen,” and she’ll soon be sharing her culinary experiences with prospective students as part of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s VIPeek event.
