February 25, 2016
Vince Brady, who is working toward an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, recently appeared on KDKA-TV to talk about his win at the “S. Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef” regionals in Chicago.
Brady is a part-time chef at Pittsburgh’s Duquesne Club. On-air, he prepared his winning dish—Crispy Skinned Duck Breast and Braised Duck Ravioli with Sautéed Winter Root Vegetables and Beet Silk.
He is one of five finalists in the national competition, which will be held in March in Napa Valley, California. The final contest consists of two timed rounds, a mystery basket, and a signature dish.
When hosts Kristine Sorensen and Jon Burnett asked Brady about his future, he said that he’s looking forward to exploring his options. “Career-wise, I have so many doors opening.”
