The Art Institute of Colorado Culinary Team Wins Bronze Medal in ACF Competition

The student team from The Art Institute of Colorado earned a Bronze Medal in the American Culinary Federation Student Competition, on November 21. Colorado Mesa University, host of the competition, earned a Silver Medal. Competitors compete against a standard rather than each other, with no participating team reaching the qualifying points for a Gold Medal. Jaime Trujillo (Associate of Applied Science in Baking & Pastry), Falon Hays (Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts), Melyssa Krutsche (Associate of Applied Science in Baking & Pastry) and Samantha Shocks (Associate of Applied Science in Baking & Pastry), along with Coach Chef Shannon Hayashi presented an exceptionally detailed four-course menu with only two months of practice. The next student challenge will be individual competitions in the Winter ACF Salon.
