The Art Institute of Colorado was recently featured on the Autodesk Design Academy blog for its work helping Sonic, a 4-month-old kitten who was born with a deformed front leg. The Art Institute of Colorado and the Denver Animal Shelter joined together to help the kitten, which resulted in Sonic being fitted with a new prosthetic leg.

Salim Fermin, a student working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Design & Technical Graphics, was interviewed for the piece, with some concept sketches and drawings of Sonic’s prosthetic leg.
