The Art Institute of Colorado Welcomes New President James Caldwell

The Art Institute of Colorado welcomes new campus president James Caldwell. As president, Caldwell will oversee all aspects of school administration including academic quality, operational effectiveness, as well as student and graduate success.

Caldwell brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education to his role at The Art Institute of Colorado. He most recently served as President of DeVry University Colorado, where he was responsible for DeVry’s three campuses in Westminster (main), Greenwood Village and Colorado Springs.

James is passionate about community service, education and leadership. As a native son of Kentucky, he was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel, the state’s highest honor for community leadership. James recently sat on the Boards of the Adams County Education Consortium, the Kenya Technology Project, the Colorado Association of Career Colleges and Schools and the Colorado Technology Association. James looks forward to collaborating with Denver’s thriving arts community and sharing the wealth of talent possessed by the faculty and students who work at and attend The Art Institute of Colorado.

Caldwell earned a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and a Master’s degree in Business from National Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
