Craig Bontrager and Bianca Barretto, who are each working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts & Animation from The Art Institute of Washington, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, recently participated in the YMCA Thingamajig® Invention Convention. The event, a STEM festival, shows young people the magic of animation and included robots, drones, and a replica operating room for children to learn about being a doctor. More than 4,000 children and 400 volunteers gathered at Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland for this annual event.
