Rosebud Film Festival

Alvaro Huezo, who is working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production  at The Art Institute of Washington, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, and Matthew Benedict, who in 2015 earned the same degree, are finalists in the 2017 Rosebud Film Festival for their film Bar Quixote.

The top 20 scripts will be chosen for the final round and showcased during the festival on January 27, 2017. Five winners—including one Best of Show—will be announced at the awards celebration the day after the festival. The five winners will each receive $1,000 awards. Movies from the top 20 finalists will be broadcast on cable channels in Arlington County, Virginia throughout the year.

The Rosebud Film Festival has worked for 16 years to recognize and honor the innovative, unusual, and deeply personal in regional film and video making.
