The Art Institute of Atlanta Partners with the Nation's Largest Military-Focused Recruiting Agency to Support Veteran Job Seekers
February 12, 2018
On February 1, 2018 The Art Institute of Atlanta students and faculty member Joe Del Sordo orchestrated a video shoot with community partner, RecruitMilitary, to capture footage and interviews during their job fair at Mercedes-Benz stadium. RecruitMilitary’s mission is to help organizations excel by connecting them with America's best talent, its veterans. For this purpose, the organization hosts more than 130 job fairs throughout the U.S. each year. Now in its 20th year of business, RecruitMilitary has the largest veteran-only job board with more than 1.3 million veterans registered.
The team captured more than a dozen interviews with veterans attending the event and organizations in attendance looking to hire veterans such as CEO of the AMB Group (owners of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United), Pepsi, Walgreens, Farmers Insurance and more. The team captured footage during the four-hour event that included more than 560 veterans and 80 companies.
RecruitMilitary is the largest military-focused recruiting company in the U.S. that offers employers access to more than 1,200,000 military job seekers via services that include contingency recruiting, military job fairs, a job board, employer branding, a military base publication and more. They offer their services free of charge to veterans and their spouses to support them during their job search. They host the nation’s largest single-source veteran database, with over 1,200,000 members. They also publish the second-largest hiring publication, Search & Employ magazine. Each year they sponsor more than 900 job fairs in over 66 cities.

A few of the highlights include an interview with Steve Cannon, the President of the Atlanta Falcons, along with President Newton Myvett. This event allowed our students the hands-on ability to build their brand while serving the community. It was truly amazing to see our students in action; they were exceptional!
