ATLANTA – JUNE 19- Culinary entrepreneurs from The Art Institute of Atlanta gained real-life experience by partnering with the Men’s Health and Wellness Center to provide healthcare education, screening and support services for men across Metro Atlanta.

The spring 2017 Senior Practicum Class at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Atlanta presented Generations of Gentleman. The young chefs hosted two Charity dinners and a silent auction on June 1st and 8th to benefit the nonprofit and its mission to educate and encourage men to make healthier lifestyle choices to prevent disease. Items available for guests participating in the silent auction included dinner for two at various Metro Atlanta restaurants like Fogo de Chao and Longhorn Steakhouse, and a Master Pizza Making Class with Master Pizzaiolio Giulio worth $750.

The event took place at The Art Institute of Atlanta’s Creations Dining Lab, the school’s student-run restaurant. Tickets were $75 person (tax-deductible) and included a reception, 4-course dinner, paired beverages, and a silent auction.

Chef Instructor Monique Porche-Smith shared with the reporter how President Myvett encourages all students and staff to give back and get involved in their communities. She explained how "this component of giving back has become an important part of this curriculum.”

This event was a great reflection that Ai Atlanta students and staff are doing just that and making a huge impact.
