Was there a defining moment when you knew you were destined to become a creative professional?

I believe that evolution of a creative professional happens over time. But if I had to choose a singular moment, it’d be when I got my first computer as a teenager. The computer is a paradigm-changing device and with it I saw that the creative possibilities were endless.

How do you weave your professional background into the classroom experience?

My background is rooted in technology and its creative uses so I bring a technologist’s perspective to the classroom. The reality is, the audio profession is a very difficult one. You have to be on top of the latest trends and technologies constantly. Having a good ear and just “liking music” is not enough. So that is the first thing I try to impart on my students.
