Bloomingdale’s Gives Students Opportunity to Design Event Space and Retail Concepts

Bloomingdale’s Department Store is giving students from The Art Institute of Atlanta full artistic control to design event space and retail concepts for its Lenox Square store. Buckheadview.com recently previewed the student designs the publication’s community section. The class project is a part of a community partnership between The Art Institute of Atlanta and Bloomingdale’s Lenox Square to help local students gain experience designing retail space by translating a specific client’s needs into a cohesive idea that will resonate with shoppers.

Bloomingdale’s celebrated the design challenge with a reception on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Guests enjoyed refreshments and voted on their favorite designs, giving students feedback from the customer’s point of view.
