New York Fashion Week Creator Discusses the Future of Fashion at The Art Institute of Atlanta

Meet Fern Mallis and get a signed copy of her latest book, “Fashion Lives: Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis”
ATLANTA (July 25, 2016) — The matriarch of fashion is coming to The Art Institute of Atlanta on Wednesday, August 3, for Ai Atlanta’s Conversations with Fern Mallis. Fern Mallis is a visionary, known as the creator of Fashion Week in New York City. The fashion icon will talk to students about her award-winning career, the future of fashion and sign copies of her book “Fashion Lives: Fashion Icons with Fern Mallis.”
Mallis is also the creator and host of premiere conversations series Fashion Icons w/Fern Mallis at New York’s prestigious 92nd Street Y - Mallis assembled an incredible roster of guests for her now signature in-depth interviews, which included Calvin Klein, Donna Karen, Tom Ford, Oscar de la Renta and many more. Season six of the series will premiere on November 3, with designer Alexander Wang.
The event will begin at 5pm with a public meet and greet followed by Conversations with Fern Mallis moderated by Ai Atlanta’s Fashion Marketing & Management and Fashion Design Program Coordinator, Dr. Courtney Hammonds. The event will take place at The Art Institute of Atlanta, located at 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, NE 100 Embassy Row, Atlanta, GA 30328.
