Recently, The Art Institute of Austin’s Culinary Chair, Chef David Holtzman, was invited to serve as judge at Cochon555’s Heritage BBQ event. The Art Institute of Austin is a branch of The Art Institute of Houston.

Additionally, the school sent a team of culinary students to work alongside notable, award-winning chefs at the event.  Heritage BBQ is a culinary competition featuring notable chefs cooking whole, locally raised heritage breed pigs with global flavors, and timeless cooking techniques. Each chef was given a 180 to 200-pound heritage breed pig to create six dishes for a crowd of pork-loving enthusiasts.
