Positively impacting our local arts community is important to the students, staff, and faculty at The Art Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston. Leading the charge on that front is our Director of Campus Relations, Ross Herosian. He’s a member of numerous arts organizations, works with area high schools, and is currently acting President for a local non-profit, Round Rock Arts Council.
Recently, Ross was recognized as “Partner of the Year” by Round Rock ISD Council of the Arts. Round Rock ISD Council of the Arts is an advisory board that consists of community arts partners, arts industry members, RRISD students, teachers, parents and administrators. The advisory board functions to provide advice, guidance, support and advocacy for the visual and performing arts programs in the Round Rock Independent School District.
"The Round Rock ISD Council of the Arts is pleased to recognize Ross Herosian as the 2016-2017 Partner of the Year for his work on the council especially in his focus on our expanded programs work group which helps to enrich the learning environment for fine arts students through master classes and more”, said Tim Lowke, Assistant Director of Visual & Performing Arts for Round Rock ISD, “In addition, Ross has leveraged his work with The Art Institute of Austin to assist students at Stony Point High School to gain needed art supplies while exposing many RRISD arts students to higher education opportunities in the fine arts. Community partners like Mr. Herosian make Round Rock ISD achieve its quest for ‘world class’ fine arts education for its learners."
