What was the inspiration for your artwork?
This was part of a project in my Advanced Layout class. For this project, the focus was on creating a pocket guide that showcased destinations around the city of Austin. You can download the pocket guide here.
Please explain what we are seeing in your pieces and (MEDIA USED, TECHNOLOGY, OR SOFTWARE USED) how you went about creating them.
Austin is known as the music capital of the world, and being a music lover I wanted to focus on highlighting record stores for crate digging lovers around the city. There was a strong focus on vector illustration, as well as layout placement in InDesign.

Why did you choose your major?
I chose Graphic Design because I love how impactful design is in the world and how it reaches a mass audience through the power of visual communication. I’ve always been a creative person, and learning new programs that contribute to building my skills as a designer excites me!
