What was the inspiration for your artwork?

This work was created for my Internship with Astire Games as a UI / UX Designer, during which we launched our game
Out Foxed. My responsibilities were designing the user interface for the project, including concepts, wireframes, and prototypes independently, while iterating based on research and user feedback. I was able to create visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize user interactions for multiple environments and audiences. Additionally, I conducted evaluations based on detailed interaction behaviors in order to address usability. And finally, I communicated designs and drove alignment with teammates from concept to final.

The style and concept were inspired by elements from Angry Birds, Archer, Metal Gear Solid, and 1960’s Spy Art.

Please explain what we are seeing in your pieces and (MEDIA USED, TECHNOLOGY, OR SOFTWARE USED) how you went about creating them.

You’re seeing a mix of the different menus I created, most of them were used directly in the final game. To list a few—The Main Menu, Mission Selection Screen, Mission Briefing, and the Mission Introduction Screen.

I used Adobe Illustrator to create the artwork, both concepts and final works. I implemented the pieces into the Unity Engine on my MacBook Pro and programmed nearly all the interactions taken within the menus.
