Fashion students in the Surface Design class at The Art Institute of Charleston, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, recently had the opportunity to create artwork that was printed on fabric by Vapor Apparel, a leader in apparel sublimation printing.

As part of the project, the fashion students toured Vapor Apparel’s North Charleston facilities and learned about the digital textile printing process. In class students worked on concepts and designing their textile print, which Vapor then produced.

Students utilized the resulting fabrics in garments they created, currently on display at The Art Institute of Charleston.
