The 14th Annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence

(Chicago April 2015)  Five students from The Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago were chosen to participate in the 14th Annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence, themed Fashion: Frame by Frame. Driehaus Design Initiative celebrates the extraordinary achievements of 25 emerging Chicago fashion design students at The 14th Annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence on Friday, April 24.


Students that participated in the event were:

Abigail Harshbarger, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design 

Liz Bahl, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design

Erica Danz, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design 

Lori Yang, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design 

Victor Romano,  Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design 


Hosted by Inese and Richard H. Driehaus, The 14th Annual Driehaus Awards for Fashion Excellence, was held at 700 S. Des Plaines Street.  Liz Bahl, was the main prize winner and received a cash honorarium, a garment display at the Saks Fifth Avenue Michigan Avenue store, and a design mentorship coordinated by Saks Fifth Avenue.  Second and third place award recipients also received a cash honoraria. Deidre Bormes, Director, Fifth Avenue Club named one designer the recipient of the Saks Fifth Avenue Achievement in Design Award.
