Spice of Life Restaurant

Spice of Life Restaurant is the student-run restaurant at The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Ohio—Cincinnati. The restaurant serves as the dining lab for the school's culinary students, offering a unique combination of real-world experience and instructional content.

Under the supervision of chef instructors, students create dishes in the kitchen and run all aspects of the dining room. From food ordering and preparation to guest seating and serving, Spice of Life Restaurant is a complete instructional environment for students that offers a quality dining experience.

The Spice of Life opens for business on Thursday, January 22nd, 2015.

The Spice of Life is open every Thursday and Friday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The last seating is at 12:15 pm.

You may also order your food to-go at 513.833.2611 during our lunch hours if you don't have time to dine in. 'Like' us on Facebook and stay on top of our happenings. We highly recommend making a reservation if you’re dining in.

At least eight Cincinnati-area artists have been invited to create work for ArtPrize, the 19-day celebration of public art in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this fall

Mark Hanavan, Assistant Professor at The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati, was one of only eight Cincinnati artists invited to participate in ArtPrize, an international art competition.

Nominated by seven Ohio State Senators and one Representative, eight local high school students were recently awarded scholarships to attend The Art Institute of Ohio-Cincinnati by the Ohio Legislative Scholarship committee of the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools.

The winning students along with their scholarship award and nominating state legislator are listed below:

  •     Nominated by Senator Robert Peterson: Brittney Balon from Lynchburg-Clay High School | Bachelor of Applied Science in Culinary Management - $44,000 Scholarship
  •     Nominated by Representative Robert Hackett:  Alexander Rhode from Greeneview High School | Bachelor of Arts in Advertising - $10,000 Scholarship
  •     Nominated by Senator Christopher Widener: Maliyah Frierson from London High School | Bachelor of Applied Science in Culinary Management - $10,000 Scholarship
  •     Nominated by Senator William Beagle: Mason Ride from Miami Valley Career Technical | Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production - $10,000 Scholarship
