Chef Larry Matson, Culinary Academic Director for the International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Dallas, a campus of South University, was featured as an expert on Dallas’s restaurant scene in the Star Telegram on April 2. In an article titled “Refining the palate: Upscale dining making a move in Arlington,” Chef Matson spoke on the role of independent restaurants in an area dominated by chain restaurants. Matson states that “tastes in food are evolving” and as Arlington seeks more culinary variety, independent restaurants will provide a unique flavor locals and visitors are craving.
