Fashion Design Student Wins “Terry Costa 2016 Catwalk Competition”
May 2, 2016
Sandy Wang, who is working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Dallas, a campus of South University, was awarded first place in the “Terry Costa 2016 Catwalk Competition.” Terry Costa is a Dallas-based boutique specializing in gowns and accessories for proms, formal events, weddings, and school dances.
For the competition, high school junior and senior students interested in fashion design—and college-level fashion design and merchandising students—were challenged to design and create a winning prom look for the 2016 prom season.
As the winner of the competition, Wang received a $1,000 scholarship courtesy of Terry Costa, Inc. and a $500 gift certificate to Terry Costa. Wang’s anticipated graduation date is summer of 2016.
