Gold Addy Award Winner for National Mountain Dew Advertising Campaign
Gabe Robinson is a senior technical architect for Ansira, Inc., a marketing company. He says that he works with an outstanding team—a group that helped him to win a Gold Addy award for a national Mountain Dew advertising campaign.
He admits that the best part of his career is “being able to play with cool new things. There’s always some new technology coming out and I’m always looking for new ways to break it, play with it, have fun, and create with it.” Gabe recommends that current students keep learning and having fun in the creative community of school. “The best way to keep up with the new technology [is to] find new ways to create and play with it.”
Gabe earned two degrees from The Art Institute of Dallas. In 2005, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Interactive Media Design and in 2006, he added a bachelor’s degree to his résumé with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interactive Media Design. “The Art Institute of Dallas exposed me to the foundations of the skills I use today. It instilled the principles of art, design, color and typography. Most of all, it showed me tangible, real world design and development skills that I used in my first job [after graduation].”
