Jacueline Withers, Ai Colorado Graduate, Selected as Grand Marshal of Denver's 2017 MLK Parade

As part of Martin Luther King Day 2017 celebrations in Denver, the MLK Holiday Commission selected Ms. Jacqueline Withers to receive the Commission’s Honorable Wilma J. Webb New Vision Award. The award ceremony was held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Denver.  Additionally, Ms. Withers was been invited to preside as Grand Marshal at Denver MLK Day Parade.

In Honor of Black History Month Art Institute of Colorado Alum Honored

Ms. Withers is an artist in action whose creative style has earned her numerous awards and recognitions. She is a graduate of The Art Institute of Colorado, Denver, CO with a Bachelor of Arts in Design Management. Her work has been featured in various venues in Chicago and throughout the Denver area where she currently resides. She credits the Denver and Detroit Chapters of Tuskegee Airmen for supplying her with the historical information and subject matter on the history of the Tuskegee Airmen which have provided the subject matter for many of her art projects and interpretative murals.
