Ken Michalik, faculty member, The Art Institute of Michigan recently took his digital pre-press class on a field trip to Banner Signs. At the shop, students met with Banner Signs project manager and graphic designer Ashley Lawler—who is also a graduate of the school. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications in 2012.

The students received a tour of the large format printing presses and were able to ask questions about the printing process. Banner Signs has printed signage for famous singers and acts performing at Little Caesars Arena.

The Art Institute of Michigan offers programs in the areas of Visual Design, Interior Design, Animation & Effects, Film & Production, Fashion, and Culinary Arts. To learn what you can do with a creative degree, please visit the school’s website.
