Culinary Students Contribute to 2017 'Sunset at the Zoo'
The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Michigan will be an exhibitor at the 2017 Sunset at the Zoo. Sunset at the Zoo is “a spectacular, creatively wild, 21-and-older fundraising gala celebrating the Detroit Zoological Society’s Greenprint initiatives in a fun, chic way.” This is the 2nd year the school is participating in the event. Adam Gardner, Culinary Arts Clerk for The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Michigan and manager of this project says, “I like this one (event) because the students get to be in a unique setting. It’s outdoors!”
Adam and his team of students will be making pulled pork sliders for over 2,000 attendees. ‘Sunset at the Zoo’ is more than just a great party – it raises funds that are critical to supporting the Detroit Zoological Society and our mission of Celebrating and Saving Wildlife. Proceeds this year will go to the Penguin exhibit.
