Fort Lauderdale’s Irina Ivanova Publishes Book in Fashion Croquis Series

Irina Ivanova, fashion adjunct instructor, The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, recently published her second book in a fashion croquis series titled How to Draw Fashion Flats: A practical guide to fashion technical drawing.
Ivanova’s new book is a guide to technical apparel drawing. The book offers an easy-to-understand, hands-on explanation to creating essential basic concepts of fashion flats focusing on pencil and marker techniques with rulers and French curves.
How to Draw Fashion Flats is the second book in Ivanova’s fashion croquis book series. The first book in the series, Children’s Wear Fashion Illustration Resource Book was published in 2015 and provides a look at how to draw children's wear without having to learn figure drawing.
Ivanova has been with The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale since 2001. She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in industrial design from Vitebsk State Technological University in Vitebsk, Republic of Belarus.
