Fort Lauderdale Student Redesigns School’s ID Cards
December 20, 2016
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’s campus ID cards have a new look, thanks to students in the school’s Graphic Design Portfolio class. The new ID cards were placed into production in October 2016 and replace the current ID cards.
Under the guidance of faculty member Andy Bing, students created a series of ID card designs for consideration. The designers were encouraged to create a concept that demonstrates the spirit of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and its place within the Fort Lauderdale community.
Though competition was fierce, the winning design was created by Melanie Martin, who is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design. It was selected for its overall aesthetic and the way it captures the school’s essence.
