Nichole Mantelle, who is working toward an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, was recently recognized as the winner of the 6th Annual Carpe Vinum Wine Scholarship. Mantelle earned a $1,000 scholarship courtesy of the non-profit, South Florida-based Carpe Vinum organization.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale recently hosted the first of the United Way of Broward County’s “Eat, Live, Save” series. Nearly 30 members of the United Way of Broward’s Women United group attended the event, held at the school’s Chef’s Palette Restaurant.
