(Fort Lauderdale, September 2015)  The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale coordinated the donation of old standard definition (SD) television studio equipment along with digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and lenses to Silver Trail Middle School in Pembroke Pines.  This magnet middle school features curriculum in media arts.  The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale reached out to the Broward County school board for suggestions on a donation when the campus updated their studio.  Silver Trail Middle in Pembroke Pines was awarded the gear and their principal, Steve Frazier, was thrilled to have such professional equipment for his students.  Silver Trail teachers have wrapped a multi-grade full curriculum around television production and are building out a big studio space to create student produced news, weather, sports and entertainment programming.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 50 schools throughout North America.
