Hollywood Culinary Students Create Appetizers for Crowd at “Taste of the Valley”
The Art Institute of California—Hollywood, a campus of Argosy University recently participated in the 2017 “Taste of the Valley Food and Wine Festival,” San Fernando Valley’s largest wine tasting and food festival. Over 1,000 guests from across the Valley attend this event, which included tastings from local restaurants, wineries, and microbreweries. Fred Jean-Marie, chef instructor and Maurice Sapp, director of campus relations were at the event along with culinary students who provided the crowd with appetizers and tastings.
Taste of the Valley was held at a 20,000 square-foot garden venue at Westfield Topanga. Over 45 restaurants were on hand, as well as 120 wineries, spirits producers, and breweries.
Proceeds from the event benefitted the Valley Cultural Center. VCC provides diverse programs and events in the arts that bring together talent, community, and business throughout the San Fernando Valley.
