May 26, 2016
The Art Institute of California—Hollywood, a campus of Argosy University, recently hosted a “Star Wars”-themed art show titled “Almost There.”
The event was open to the public at no cost and featured “Star Wars” artwork from France, Russia, Columbia, Malaysia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Canada and all over the United Kingdom. There was a “Star Wars” Digital Art Workshop and students from the Culinary Department presented Star Wars themed food as well. There was even a Star Wars enthusiast group dressed in costumes.
Animation Magazine supported the show on social media along with the Noho Arts District which also covered the event: http://nohoartsdistrict.com/noho-news/item/3462-may-the-4th-be-with-you
The event was covered in Epoch Times (one of the largest Chinese newspapers in the world):
CBS Los Angeles (CBS2/KCAL9) also stopped by the campus to cover the event, which served as the kickoff for the Star Wars Student Art Competition where seven pieces of art will displayed on www.starwarscountdown.tumblr.com.
