As part of the Interior Design, BFA program and its’ Project Management class, Imelda Escatell and Nancy Tongogaro visited their mentors Kimberly Anderson and Kimberly Serrano, respectively, at the offices of world renowned Gensler.
Says Imelda Escatell, “My experience (at Gensler) was very educational.”
Their experience included attending a Request for Information meeting (RFI) with contractors, designers, owner’s representative, and building property manager of an existing project. While, walking a construction site gave them an insider’s look into the demands of all involved in a major design undertaking, a tour of the Gensler offices provided insight on commercial design, the interior design culture and a real-life working environment.
