Ai Houston Fashion Design Students Present Senior Collections
The show featured students Kim Nguyen, Samantha Joi, Tiffany Dilbeck, and Melanie Green Harris—all of whom are working toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design at The Art Institute of Houston.
The event was presented in partnership with non-profit design house, Magpies & Peacocks. Nearly 200 attendees were on hand for the show, including The Art Institute of Houston’s president Susanne Behrens, faculty, alumni from the school’s fashion programs, family, and friends.
From the free-spirited designs by Ms. Harris to the sophisticated lingerie collection by Ms. Joi, each collection was displayed against an urban chic background. Additionally, Kim Nguyen, who recently won first place for her design submission to the “Fashion My Future Career Conference,” will have her designs shown at “Runway Houston” on March 30, 2017.
