Instructor Chef Roshni Gurnani Invited to Cook at the James Beard House
Filed under: Culinary
March 2, 2018
The Art Institute of Houston instructor Chef Roshni Gurnani is an accomplished chef whose unique style of fusion cooking combines a variety of world cultures to produce one-of-a-kind dining experiences. Most recently, her reputation for culinary excellence has caught the attention of the James Beard Foundation, and she has been selected for the prestigious honor of cooking at the James Beard House in New York City.
Chef Roshni’s dinner will be held on March, 28, 2018, at James Beard’s historic former home in Greenwich Village, where she will serve up to 74 members of the Foundation and the public. Her theme for the dinner will be Vegetarian Cravings, and she recently told the HoustonPress that she will be the first Sindhi chef as well as the first female to cook a completely vegetarian meal at The Beard House. According to the James Beard Foundation site, Chef Roshni and her team will be showcasing “a unique menu blending their respective heritages of India, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, and Mexico.”
Luckily, for members of the Houston community, there’s an easier way to taste Chef Roshni’s culinary creations than flying to New York City. This March 6 and 7, 2018, visitors to Ai Houston’s Courses Restaurant will be treated to a special restaurant takeover by Chef Roshni Gurnani. See the full menu for this exciting event below!
