Recently, fashion and culinary students at The Art Institute of Houston worked together for the fundraiser “Magpies and Peacocks,” event. Fashion students were given articles of donated clothing and charged with the task of up-cycling them into “new” wearable garments that were showcased on the runway. The culinary team provided 400 savory bites and 400 desserts, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their talents while networking with other local chefs in attendance.

Recently, a team of students from The Art Institute of Houston participated in the “Hops ‘n Hogs” competition, which challenged local restaurants and culinary schools to include pork and Saint Arnold’s beer in their recipes.
