November 24, 2015
(Houston, November 2015) The Art Institute of Houston has established a student chapter of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), and it has become recognized by the AES governing board. There is a wealth of educational and professional opportunities available through this well-established professional organization.
From the AES website: The Audio Engineering Society is the only professional society devoted exclusively to audio technology. Founded in the United States in 1948, the AES has grown to become an international organization that unites audio engineers, creative artists, scientists and students worldwide by promoting advances in audio and disseminating new knowledge and research.
Currently, over 14,000 members are affiliated with more than 75 AES professional sections and more than 95 AES student sections around the world. Section activities may include guest speakers, technical tours, demonstrations and social functions. Through local AES section events, members experience valuable opportunities for professional networking and personal growth.
The Art Institute of Houston is one of The Art Institutes, a system of private, non-profit schools throughout the United States.
