By: Anne Dean

July 29, 2016

Recently, Leadership Houston Class XXXIV asked The Art Institute of Houston to assist artist Janavi Folmsbee in creating a street mural within the Washington Arts District. Street murals are a growing trend in Houston.

See slide 13 for the mural “Rail to the Sea,” which was a collaboration that included students from The Art Institute of Houston. The students were given the opportunity to assist in the creation of the mural as well as document it through photos and video.
