Courses Restaurant

Our facility includes Courses Restaurant, where diners may enjoy meals prepared by aspiring chefs under the direction of chef instructors. This hands-on experience plays an important role in the development of future culinary leaders. Our students gain this valuable experience through the helpfulness of our friends in the community.

The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner. We are also able to provide service for meetings and special events of up to 45 people.

Alcoholic beverages may not be brought to the restaurant, and alcohol is not served with meals.

Please call 713.353.3644 or e-mail Chef Stephen Griffin at sgriffin@aii.edu, if you would like to be included in our weekly e-mail broadcast describing upcoming dinner menus. We look forward to seeing you at Courses!

The Art Institute of Houston Offers Real World Design Opportunities to Students The Art Institute of Houston Offers Real World Design Opportunities to Students

Zack Zwicky, a graphic design instructor at The Art Institute of Houston, is overseeing three partnerships that provide opportunities for students to gain real world industry experience.

The partners are the Houston Bar Association, Texas Wolfdog Project & Shelter, and Yaga’s Entertainment, Inc.

The Houston Bar Association (HBA) is asking students to join a logo design competition to support the 32nd annual HBA John J. Eikenburg Law Week Fun Run. The HBA will be on campus to discuss design guidelines, then return to talk with students about their logo drafts. A committee will select the winning logo, which is used on all race materials and HBA publications.

The Texas Wolfdog Project & Shelter gives students the opportunity to take photos of the shelter’s furry friends. And this year, it’s asking students for help in designing a new wine bottle label for its partner organization, Cork This! Winery.

The final project involves the creation of the annual Mardi Gras poster for Yaga’s Entertainment.
