New Student Orientation is not a time where we want to bore you with information. We use this time to introduce you to all the important faces of our campus from Student Services to Financial Services to Academics. You will learn about fun opportunities to help with meeting new people, joining a club, building a resume, getting tutoring, learning how to navigate your Campus Portal, and understanding how you can be involved on campus to make your time here as much fun as possible. Come join Orientation and get off to a successful start here at The Art Institute of Houston!

SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
You’ve got a passion to make it in the creative arts. We can help make it happen—with options like The Art Grant that awards students up to $17,500 toward a bachelor's degree.
In addition, our culinary students have the opportunity to earn a $2,000 scholarship offered by Ai Houston Alumnus and Executive Chef of the Houston Rockets, Reynold Darthard.

Houston grad Eduardo Martinez was approached by Budweiser to create artwork for a limited edition Houston Astros beer can.
Team Art Institute of Houston brought home the award for Best Performance.
Students and graduates from The Art Institute of Houston will premiere their mobile game, “PipPow: Defeat MotherCrusher” at Houston’s Comicpalooza, May 12-14, 2017.

Prefer Online? Don't Live Near Campus?
You and other High School juniors and seniors can challenge yourself in an online course, with all the same benefits as a campus-based course, including the opportunity to build a portfolio that you can use to request proficiency credit* toward a degree at an Art Institutes school, which can save time and money.Learn More
* Students who successfully complete a course will receive a certificate of completion. College Bound courses are non-credit bearing and do not transfer into our academic program offerings or the offerings of any other institution. However as part of the course you will have the opportunity to develop a portfolio that you are able to request proficiency credit. Proficiency credit is awarded based on the proficiency credit policy defined in an institution’s academic catalog. The cost of the College Bound courses varies between $325 and $350. This cost is waived for any student that has an application and completed essay on file with the school. Check with the school you are interested in attending for exceptions and details, as not all programs are offered at all locations. Individual location participation is subject to change.
