“[I’m excited to be] cooking for a professional athlete.”

A point guard’s gotta eat. And when Indiana Pacer Rodney Stuckey and his wife were in search of a full-time personal chef, they scored Caleb Anderson. Caleb, who in 2015 earned an Associate of Science in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Indianapolis, is already accomplished in the culinary field. He placed first in Knife Skills in the 2014 World Food Championships, where he finished fifth overall.

Caleb is responsible for shopping, prepping meals, and cleaning up the kitchen for the Stuckey family. “The pace and the work are hard, but it’s worth it,” he says. Caleb is inspired by the joy that food brings to people. He’s both proud and excited to be working for a professional basketball player.

Caleb credits his education for the success he’s had as a personal chef. “My instructors gave me what I needed to [transition into the culinary industry]. Combined with good work ethic, it [helped me] to progress to where I am today.”
